2014-10-23 /// A successful industry seminar 'Present and Future of FRP in Construction' took place on 23 October 2014.
This event by COST TU1207, ENDURE and fibTG9.3, chaired by Prof. M. Pahn, took place at TU Kaiserslautern and attracted 125 participants from industry and academia. During the seminar Dr. M. Guadagnini introduced the topic of composites in construction as well as COST action TU1207, the Marie Curie project ENDURE and fib Task Group 9.3. Following, an overview of the current German guideline on externally bonded reinforcement was given by Prof. K. Zilch. Various practical applications and advancements in the field of FRP reinforcement were further provided by S&P, Sika, Fyfe and Schöck. The seminar ended with an impuls presentation 'Future of FRP' by Prof. S. Matthys, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Prof. U. Meier.
As part of the seminar a poster competition for young researchers was held and attracted great interest as well.
